Anchor Bay Entertainment has unveiled the first Official Theatrical Trailer for MUCK, as well as new exclusive poster art (attached). Horror and gore fans alike should feast their eyes on this freshest take yet on the MUCK trailer, viewable on the main page of the Muck Kickstarter:bit.ly/MuckKickstarter.
Speaking of Feast, the MUCK Kickstarter campaign to fund the prequel, MUCK: Feast of Saint Patrick, is still under way, and recently surpassed the $200,000 mark on the way to the goal of raising a quarter of a million dollars. Just like the original, the MUCK prequel will boast death-defying stunts and practical effects, shot without the use of CGI – all in 4K Ultra HD.
As a production company, WithAnO wanted to give fans and Kickstarter backers alike an insight into what they’re supporting, and so recently released this exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage of one of MUCK’s incredible stunts:http://youtu.be/VzU2RZettks.
The daring stunt-woman in this case is Alexa Marcigliano, and her courage is palpable in the clip, sprinting O.S. through the pitch-black living room before bouncing on a trampoline, then hurling herself through the 4 x 6 picture window, out into the night. To say that hitting her mark was highly important is obviously an understatement. Jump too short, and Alexa would land head-first on the edge of the porch outside; too high, and she would hit window frame; too long, and she would overshoot the padding buried beneath the grass outside. And, since there was only room in the budget for one window, it had to be done in a single take.
These are the kinds of stunts that Steve Wolsh lives to shoot as a writer/director, but these kinds of stunts take time, money, and not least of all, the ultimate creative control that can only be afforded by independent financing. So remember, any mention or write-up on the Muck Kickstarter campaign directly furthers our goal of making another epic, independent horror film for true horror fans. The MUCK franchise is so close to this goal – a goal that at one time seemed insurmountable! – and we have all of you, our loyal supporters to thank.
MUCK stars horror legend Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th Part VII, VIII, Jason Goes to Hell, and Jason X), Lachlan Buchanan (Pretty Little Liars), and Bryce Draper (Bound), and co-stars 2012 Playboy Playmate of the Year Jaclyn Swedberg, Puja Mohindra, and Laura Jacobs. The middle chapter of an independently financed horror trilogy,MUCK will be unleashed in theaters on Friday the 13th, March 2015.
WithAnO Productions has released a new RED BAND clip from Muck, which is a segment of the 12-minute preview that Steve Wolsh surprised fans with at Muck’s exclusive Q&A panel with Muck cast held by Stan Lee’s Comikaze 2013. The new clip is only available for viewing by those who “Like” the Muck Facebook fan page here: www.facebook.com/getthemuckout. During the past few months, over 18,000 fans have already “Liked” the Muck Facebook fan page.
WithAnO Productions maintains tight lips about most plot details and sources of carnage portrayed in Muck. However, with all the fan internet chatter about the images of Kane Hodder shown shirtless as Grawesome Crutal in the Muck trailers, WithAnO Productions has confirmed that Kane is indeed featured in his first shirtless role, showcasing both his muscular physique as well the severe scarring that stems from third degree burns, which are a result of a stunt mishap early in Kane’s career. Kane’s willingness to play Grawesome in this manner was due in part to Steve Wolsh sharing with him that he too has giant scars on his on his chest and back. Six hours of intense Special FX make up was needed to create Kane’s fierce look for Muck, as prosthetic scars and tribal branding were incorporated with Kane’s real scarring to create a phenomenal and truly terrifying look that horror fans will love.
CES 2014 SHOWCASES BRIGHT FUTURE OF 4K / ULTRA HD BUT FOR INDEPENDENT FILM “MUCK” THE FUTURE IS NOW
Hyper Violent “Muck” Set to be First Horror Film Available in 4K / Ultra HD for Domestic and International Wide Release
The world’s biggest television manufacturers, including Samsung, LG, and Sony, used last week’s CES 2014 as a launching pad to declare that they will lead us into the 4K / Ultra HD revolution in 2014, content or not. Those who attended CES 2014 in Las Vegas were amazed by the visual experience of the latest in HD. The biggest Hollywood studios and TV programmers, Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, Amazon, Netflix, and others, are already rushing to create content in 2014 for the breathtaking picture of new 4K / Ultra HD TVs. Ahead of the curve, however, is Steve Wolsh’s independent horror film, Muck; out in front, Muck will become one of the first titles anywhere to offer consumers the premium 4K / Ultra HD experience.
For Steve Wolsh, being independent with a limited budget would not stop him from literally seeing the bigger picture, and he knew that 4K / Ultra HD was the future. Muck is full of stunning slow motion fire, glass explosions, water combat, and rapid-paced fierce horror stunts that will jump off the screen in 2014 in both HD and Ultra HD. Muck pushes the limits of what can be done in both independent filmmaking and within the horror genre. Steve Wolsh aims to get Muck in as many languages and territories as possible, so he partnered up with Blacklist Productions in Hollywood to have the ability to screen Muck in 4K / Ultra HD for interested parties.
Steve Wolsh and company did not waste any time to begin pre-production for Muck Offed (the Muck prequel). With the release ofMuck later this year, casting for Muck Offed is already underway. For the prequel, Steve Wolsh has promised to push his practical effects and the phrase “No CGI” into even more dangerous places. The entire original Muck cast, including Horror Legend Kane Hodder and 2012 Playboy Playmate of the Year Jaclyn Swedberg, as well as Australian hunk Lachlan Buchanan (Newcastle, Pretty Little Liars, and NCIS: Red), YouTube sensation Lauren Francesca, Indian beauty Puja Mohindra, Bryce Draper, Grant Alan Ouzts, Stephanie Danielson, and Laura Jacobs (Almost Human), will all be alive and well in the prequel along with the 13 new characters being added to the Muck universe. It could get messy…
